I have two dog runs if you wish to bring your hunting dog along. I also have a Chesapeake for retrieving. All hunters stay in a lodge attached to my house. Four double rooms, one single room, two full baths and a sitting room. The meal are all home cooked. If you hunt with us this is what the week would go like:
|
1st we pick you up at the hotel and drive for about 3hr to my lodge where you get settled in. we get up about 5am and have a quick coffee or juice and a muffin and hit the road.
After 15-20 minutes, we come to where we have marked the field the night before. It takes about 30 min to set up our huts and decoys ,then we sit an have a coffee or juice and wait for day light and the geese soon to start coming in. Most of the time we take turns calling and the caller lets you know when there in range to shoot.
|
Each hut has a caller and we make sure ever one gets plenty of shooting in. Once we fill our limits our the birds stop coming in we pack back up and head back to the Lodge where I have a shop to clean the birds. It normally takes about 45mins to do this if ever one helps. If you do not want to help you can have your birds cleaned at an additional cost to you.
After the birds are cleaned we wash up at the shop and go in for a feast. Every shoot there is always another person spotting for that evening or the next morning
depending on what you want to hunt.We hunt ducks on fields and over ponds
depending on the situation.
The after noon hunt starts about 3 or 4pm so you can have a rest for 2hrs in the middle of the day , we usually have supper about 8-9pm depending on how the hunt went. Then we will get up the next morning and do it all over again till you get your limit.
We like to see ever one enjoy their hunt and also have a very relaxing and memorable hunt to spread the word about the good time they had with us and can't wait for next year to come around and do it all over again Hope we can be of service to you sometime in the future.
Sincerely,
Neil Johnson
