North Star Outfitting exceeded all of my exspectationsfor an outstanding bear hunt . I saw many bears every day and was able to take 2 nice trophies. I will be back .

This is the fourth year I have hunted with Neil and his staff at North Star Outfitting. I can't say enough about how organized they are. They take care of everything you need to have a successful hunt. The only thing I haven't see them take control of is the weather and the movement of game. It truly is a fun time when you are at North Star. They have topnotch equipment and the entire staff caters to your needs. They take care of the small things, like having a cool beverage for you when you come out of your stand. When you run out of ammunition shooting gophers, they send someone to get some for you while you continue to hunt.
The food is wonderful and I always come home gaining weight. This year it was two belts holes. From Turkey dinner to Steak and Seafood they always have something good to eat and a lot of it.
Neil strives at all times to take care of his hunters needs. From being picked up for your ride to camp, the hunt, the food, preparations of your trophy, to the ride back to meet your plane, Neil and his staff cover it all. Why, Neil even calls you to see if you got home without any problems.
I highly recommend North Star outfitting for your next hunt. Whether it is Bear, Deer, Duck or Goose. You can't go wrong with North Star.

I have hunted bear with Neil Johnson of North Star Outfitters seven different times. He has never failed to produce excellent bears, I have taken one over eight foot, and several over seven foot. He works hard and does everything possible to provide an excellent hunting experience. His accommodations are first class, and there is more great tasting food than you can possibly eat. I have hunted waterfowl one time with him, and we had huge Canada geese practically trying to get in the blind with us. I have no reservations on whole heartedly recommending Neil to anyone, and would be glad to personally talk to anyone considering booking a hunt with him.
This will be my 4th hunt with North star . I have hunted whitetail deer in Sask and black bear in Alberta and whitetail and mule deer in Alberta as well . I hunt with a group of 6 hunters from FLA. and we will be at North Star camp this fall for another whitetail/ mule deer hunt and then driving from there to his camp in Sask, for the last week of the season over there to finish up our canadian hunting adventure for 2006.Ive hunted with other outfitters but non that go that extra mile to insure as quality of a hunt as Neil and his staff due at North Star Outfitting.
My 1st Black Bear hunt and what a way to start. Took a great Black Bear over 7' and a nice blond Bear as well. Neil and Troy work super hard to try to put youin the right spot. I've hunted lots of other places and none have put the effort in you guy's did. Great food and accomodations make for a super hunt . I have hunted 3 times now with North Star and this year will be my 4th and looking very much to doing a Alberta/ Sask Whitetail hunt.

What more could be said about North Star Outfitting than WOW! Neil runs a fantastic operation from the lodging, meals to the amount of game. I have experienced a lot of different hunting environments over the many years of hunting and this was one of the best by far. I think this was the only hunting trip in which I think I gained weight from all the delicious food Diane made for us.
Having never hunted bears before I really didn’t know what to expect when I got there. How many bears would I see? What are the setups like? Shot opportunities?? Well all I can say is that I will never have to worry about that again while hunting with Neil and his guide Troy. I sat out four (4) days and honestly lost cost of the number of bears I saw. At one point I had 10 bears within 40 yards of me. The setups were near perfect. Neil and Troy did everything humanly possible to make our trip a successful one. While I did not harvest an animal this trip, the shot opportunities were there. As an archer I choose to be picky and here with North Star Outfitting you can be. I’ll be back.
