Deer Bowhunts & Mule Deer Bowhunts
We
understand that archery hunting requires a different approach
than conventional rifle hunts. We know what it takes to put
the trophy of your dreams in range! We have a 50% success
rate on 150 whitetail deer and that is hard to beat, but we
also add a mule deer hunt in the same location. We hunt our
whitetail deer only in the afternoons because it's just doesn't
pay to risk getting caught going in the morning when you don't
know where they are. I have been doing this for the past 10
years and I have found this to work very well.
Since were are not hunting whitetails in the morning, we spot
and stalk mule deer. We have taken 189 in velvet last year
and other years previous. This style of hunting has been very
exciting and is a great mix with stand hunting in the afternoon
for the whitetails. We set up our stands along side alfalfa,
pea, barley and wheat fields because in August and September
they are feeding with no pressure. This is the time of year
we out setting up trail cameras and video taping to pattern
your trophy whitetail deer & mule deer.
We take 2 groups of 4 hunters per week in early September
before all the waterfowl hunters are out shooting and disturbing
the patterns of these whitetails. The same follows true for
the mule deer as we are also watching out for their travel
and feeding patterns. The reason behind having a high success
rate is taking a low number of hunters to give them personal
attention.
Our lodge boasts all the amenities of home. Your accommodations
include 2 hunters per room with 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
We have full cell phone coverage, wireless internet, and satellite
TVs, we also have plenty of room to socialize.
